In 1997 a liver virus required him to receive a liver transplant. Many set-backs both personal and medical have befallen Mr. Cooke, yet, he always springs back and has an up-beat attitude. Mr. Cooke believes that his God given destiny has not yet been fulfilled. Until Mr. Cooke's destiny is completed he feels he will keep on helping people and live on towards completing the planned purpose that God has given him. In 2007, Mr. Cooke founded and is Executive Director of a non-profit Christian foundation for organ transplant patients and their required support personnel. The Steven W. Cooke HealthQuest House Foundation will have overnight accommodating facilities near the organ transplant medical centers located in large cities. 100% of profits from this book will go to his foundation.
